Prior to their tenure at Cadence, Sherry worked at Intel Corporation as a Software Engineer in the Corporate CAD department. Sherry was responsible for the development of SEES (Schematic Entry and Edit System) and implemented advanced netlisting services and inter-process communication.

Sherry Solden completed their high school education at Ocean Township High School in Ocean, NJ from 1982 to 1986. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, from 1982 to 1986.
