Bruno Crépon

Scientific Director, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa at J-PAL

Bruno Crépon is a researcher at Centre de Recherche en Économie et Statistique (CREST) and a professor of economics and econometrics at ENSAE and École Polytechnique. The focus of his research is on policy evaluation with special attention to labor market policies. Bruno is a Co-Chair of J-PAL's Labor Markets sector, a Co-Chair of J-PAL's MENA initiative, and a member of J-PAL's executive committee.

Bruno earned his PhD from Université de Paris, Sorbonne.

The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) was established in 2003 as a research center at the Economics Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Since then, it has grown into a global network of researchers who conduct randomized evaluations to test and improve the effectiveness of programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty.
