Prior to their current role, they held various positions at J-POWER USA, including Vice President & Senior Advisor, and Vice President-Market Analytics & Business Development. Jim also worked as a Senior Manager at AGL Resources and as a Director at PPL Corporation, where they were responsible for front-end development of new generation sources and carbon sequestration. Jim has also worked as a Director at a confidential company and as a Principal at a consulting firm. Jim began their career as a Manager at NGPL.
Jim Kiefer obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Minnesota State University, Moorhead, which they attended from 1972 to 1976. Afterward, they pursued further education and received a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of North Dakota, where they studied from 1976 to 1978.
