Evelyn Lorence

Evelyn Lorence is a dedicated community librarian specializing in youth literacy with experience at Jackson County Library Services since January 2018, where advocacy for library resources and programs enhances engagement among K-12 youth. Prior to this role, Evelyn served in various capacities at Sycamore Public Library from September 2008 to October 2016, including Interim Circulation Supervisor and Head of Youth and Teen Services, focusing on fostering a love of reading within families and promoting the library as a community hub. Education credentials include a Master of Library & Information Science from Dominican University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
