Michael Ortiz

Michael Ortiz is an accomplished Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in fluids design and support for aerospace and industrial applications. Currently serving as Lead Mechanical Engineer at Jacobs since November 2022, Michael oversees the Ignition Overpressure and Sound Suppression System for NASA's Pad 39B and Mobile Launcher. Prior roles include Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at FSF Manufacturing Inc., where Michael specialized in propane refrigeration system design, and Mechanical Design Engineer focused on translating conceptual designs into detailed engineering models. Michael's experience also encompasses leadership and logistical responsibilities as a Motor Transport Vehicle Lead in the United States Marine Forces Reserve, as well as an internship at Lockheed Martin working on advanced missile systems. Michael holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, along with a Bachelor's Degree in the same field and a certification in Full Stack Web Development.
