Nilesh Gupta

Nilesh Gupta is a skilled developer specializing in model-based control and functional safety within the automotive and battery management system sectors. Currently working at JLR since November 2024 as a Model Based Developer focusing on high integrity functional safety compliant ASW development for next-generation electric vehicles, Nilesh previously held the position of Model Based Control Developer at Renault Group from October 2023 to November 2024, where responsibilities included the development of Safety BMS ASW in accordance with ISO26262. Prior experience includes a role at Simple Energy as a Model Based Control Engineer, where Nilesh achieved significant advancements in State of Charge-Capacity estimation for electric vehicles. Nilesh has also played leadership roles in mentorship and coordination within educational project teams and has completed a Master’s degree in Electric Vehicle Technology from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, alongside relevant certifications in battery management systems.
