Ryan Johansen has a diverse work experience. Ryan joined Jam3 in 2018 as a Strategist and later became a Senior Strategist. Currently, they serve as the Strategy Director, leading international projects and managing pillar accounts with renowned brands such as Adobe, adidas, Levi's, Meta, and Google. Ryan utilizes their multidisciplinary academic background to negotiate business and brand goals, ultimately creating impactful and relevant experiences for clients. Additionally, they worked as a Staff Writer for Fast Times Magazine in 2016 and as a Freelance Writer for various clients. Ryan also gained experience as a Bar Captain for The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall, coordinating bar service and ensuring VIP experiences for patrons. Furthermore, they held Graduate Teaching Assistant positions at York University and the University of Western Ontario, contributing to the academic field.

Ryan Johansen earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology from Western University, attending from 2000 to 2005. Ryan then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Popular Music at the same university, from 2011 to 2013. Currently, Johansen is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Musicology and Ethnomusicology at York University, expected to be completed by 2023.
