William Nixon has extensive experience in finance and budget management, currently serving as the Director of Finance at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation since March 2014. Previous roles at the Foundation include Budget Manager and Senior Budget Analyst, where William ensured compliance with policies and regulations while managing budgetary processes. Prior to this, experience as a Contract Analyst Intern involved special projects aimed at cost-saving measures within museum operations. Additional roles include Waterfront Director for the Boy Scouts of America and Resident Assistant at Longwood University, which helped develop leadership and organizational skills. William holds an MBA from William & Mary and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Longwood University.

The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, an educational institution of the Commonwealth of Virginia, shall foster through its living-history museums – Jamestown Settlement and American Revolution Museum at Yorktown – an awareness and understanding of the early history, settlement, and development of the United States through the convergence of American Indian, European, and West Central African cultures and the enduring legacies bequeathed to the nation.
