Tim Powell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tim started their career in 1988 as a Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin. Tim then worked as the Director of Research at Advanced Warming Systems, Inc., where they conducted research for a start-up medical device company. In 1996, they joined Ford Motor Company as a Regional Controller/Finance Manager, holding various financial analysis and controllership positions across different divisions. Tim was promoted for their ability to deliver accurate decision support information, identify cost reduction initiatives, and devise new tracking and reporting tools. Tim then served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Hunter Douglas North America starting in 2008, and is currently the Chief Financial Officer at JANUS et Cie since 2022.
Tim Powell obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, from the years 1983 to 1987. Tim later pursued an MBA with a focus on Finance and Marketing from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, from 1994 to 1996. Tim also holds a certification as a Greenbelt, although the institution and the specific date of obtaining the certification are not provided.
