Prabir Nandi has a diverse work experience with a focus on data science, engineering, and business transformation. Prabir currently serves as the Vice President of Data Science & Engineering at J.D. Power since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at AT&T for nine years as the Director of Data Science & AI in the Chief Data Office.

Before their tenure at AT&T, Prabir worked at IBM Research for over 16 years. During this time, they held various roles, including Research Staff Member in the Customer Experience Lab (CxLabs) and Consultant in Business Value Modeling & Business Entity Lifecycle Analysis. Prabir also served as a Research Staff Member & CTO in Model-driven Business Transformation, where they developed the Data4BPM technology.

Prabir's early career was at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited as a Software Engineer, where they focused on plant automation.

Prabir Nandi began their education at The Frank Anthony Public School in Kolkata, where they attended from 1971 to 1981. Prabir then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics & Communication from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, from 1986 to 1990. Later, they enrolled at William & Mary where they attained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 1995 to 1997.

In terms of additional certifications, Prabir Nandi obtained a Micro-MBA from IBM Research & Columbia Business School in 2004, although the specific month is unknown. Furthermore, they recently acquired an AI Leadership certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in November 2022.
