Mike W. is an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator with a comprehensive background in managing safety protocols across various projects in the mining and oil industries. Currently serving at JDS Group of Companies, Mike is involved in the Mt. Nansen Reclamation Project since July 2025. Previous roles include coordinating health and safety for significant turnarounds at Shell Scotford Canada and Canadian Natural Resources Limited, as well as overseeing safety initiatives at Victoria Gold Corp. and other organizations. Mike has demonstrated expertise in developing compliance processes, conducting incident investigations, facilitating safety meetings, and fostering strong relationships with clients and subcontractors while ensuring adherence to national and international safety standards. Education includes ongoing training with the Alberta Construction Safety Association and Yukon Workers Compensation Health and Safety Board.
