Hussain Al-Khalaf, MBA, PMP, RRCA Certified has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Hussain is currently working as a Sr. Project Manager at Jedson Engineering since September 2021. Prior to this, they founded and served as a Run Coach at iRun4.Life LLC from January 2020.
Hussain has a strong background in project management and engineering. Hussain worked at International Paper from December 2016 to October 2021, where they held the positions of Capital Electrical Project Manager and Project Engineer. As a Project Engineer, they led a team of electricians and technicians, successfully commissioning a power and recovery boiler. Hussain demonstrated strong leadership skills by resolving conflicts and making decisions to keep the project on track. Hussain also implemented process improvements, delivered projects under budget and schedule, and tested new techniques and equipment.
Prior to International Paper, Hussain worked at Weyerhaeuser as a Deputy Project Manager and Process Control Engineering Lead from July 2015 to December 2016. Their responsibilities included managing projects and leading process control engineering activities.
Hussain also gained experience as a Process Control Engineer at Zeton, Georgia-Pacific Gypsum Canada LP, and iAutomation Solutions. At Zeton, they worked for a short period of time in 2012. At Georgia-Pacific Gypsum Canada LP, they served as a Process Control Engineer from June 2010 to September 2012. Hussain also established their own company, iAutomation Solutions, where they worked as Founder and Automation Engineer from November 2011 to July 2012.
Additionally, Hussain worked at McMaster University as a Junior Automation Designer in 2009. Hussain successfully built an automated laboratory for chemical engineering students, designed experiments, and managed lab servers.
Prior to their professional career, Hussain worked as a Private Tutor from September 2008 to September 2009. Hussain also served as a Tutor at Mohawk College from January 2009 to April 2009.
Hussain Al-Khalaf holds an impressive education history and additional certifications. Hussain earned a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Process Automation from McMaster University, where they attended from 2004 to 2009. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology from Mohawk College, where they studied from 2004 to 2007.
In 2013, Hussain furthered their education by completing a Six Sigma Green Belt program at Villanova University, with a focus on Lean Manufacturing. In 2015, they attended Villanova University again and earned a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management. This program covered Essentials of Project Management and Mastering Project Management.
Most recently, Hussain pursued a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Purdue University Daniels School of Business. Hussain is expected to complete this program from 2020 to 2023, further enhancing their business acumen.
In addition to their education, Hussain holds two valuable certifications. Hussain obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in October 2017. Furthermore, they are a Certified Running Coach, having completed the program through the Road Runners Club of America in May 2019.
