Anastasiia Birillo

Anastasiia Birillo is the Head of Education Research Group at JetBrains, overseeing initiatives aimed at transforming programming education to meet the demands of the modern EdTech landscape. With a focus on developing innovative education-oriented features, such as AI-based personalized hints, Anastasiia leads a team within the Machine Learning research group and has previously worked as a Team Lead, Technical Consultant, and Researcher in related areas. Earlier experience includes teaching programming basics to children at Digital Banana, serving as CTO at Solvery to create a personalized mentoring service, and working as a Frontend Developer at ООО "4 Квадрата." Anastasiia holds a Master’s degree in Software and Administration of Information Systems and is pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at Utrecht University.
