He is a director and Vice Chairman of Manila Electric Company and is a Director of Oriental Petroleum and Minerals Corporation, United Industrial Corporation Limited, and Meralco Powergen Corporation. He is a member of the Board of Global Reporting Initiative. He is a trustee and Chairman of the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, Inc. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
