Job Summary
The Laser Programmer is a member of the Manufacturing team and is responsible for creating, modifying and nesting metal parts/ components using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ProNest software in order to assist in the operation of the CNC fiber laser
Responsibilities include
Required Qualifications
Must possess a minimum of 3 years of laser programing/operation experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven ability to work under pressure, use initiative, and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
Requires use of basic math to analyze information and measuring equipment – working with close tolerances
Ability to work safely and efficiently
Ability to work in a team and independently – strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction and written processes
Knowledge of sheet metal thicknesses and material types
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs – moving product off table throughout the shift
Experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ProNest
Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible work hours (standard shift 6:00am – 4:30pm, M-Th. (Friday and Saturday OT as required)
