Renzo Viegas

Renzo Viegas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in corporate governance and finance. Currently serving as Senior Independent Director at Astro since December 2017, Renzo chairs the Nominating, Remuneration and Corporate Governance Committee, as well as the Audit and Risk Committee. Renzo also holds senior advisory roles at Rentalworks Group and Jirnexu and is an Independent Director at Manulife Holdings Berhad and Manulife Insurance Berhad, where leadership includes chairing the Group Nominating/Remuneration and Audit Committees. As the Founder and Executive Director of Crescer Sdn Bhd, Renzo provides management consulting services. Additional roles include Independent Director at Ujjivan Financial Services Limited and former Senior Advisor at Creador. Renzo has a robust background in banking, having served on the boards of CIMB Bank Vietnam and CIMB Bank PLC, along with various leadership positions within CIMB Group Holdings. Educational credentials include a Finance degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Commerce with a focus on Finance from the University of Mumbai.
