Chris Hutchinson

Chris Hutchinson is a Full Stack Software Engineer currently working at Jisc since May 2023, previously holding the position of Junior Full Stack Software Engineer in the same organization. Prior experience includes completing a Full Stack Software Developer role at Makers Academy Bootcamp, where web applications were designed, built, and deployed using various technologies such as NodeJS and ReactJS, emphasizing TDD and OOP. Before transitioning to software development, Chris spent over 17 years at HSBC in various roles, culminating as a Global Business Analyst and Platform Manager, where critical systems for 3,000 employees across 25 countries were managed, significantly improving user experience and operational efficiency. Additional roles at HSBC included Global Platform and Operational Data Manager and Project Manager, with notable achievements in coding solutions and project delivery. Chris holds a BA (Hons) in Industrial Design Product from Sheffield Hallam University and has a strong foundation in mathematics and science from Culcheth High School.
