Dung Tran

Dung Tran, P.E., currently serves as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Turbomachinery) at Joby Aviation, focusing on the development of hydrogen fuel cell powertrains for aircraft. Previously, Dung held various positions at Energy Recovery, Inc. as a Senior R&D Engineer and R&D Engineer, contributing to turbomachinery design and development. Additional experience includes working as a Research Associate at the Turbomachinery Laboratory at Texas A&M, where Dung contributed to Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis, and roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Machinery Engineer at ExxonMobil, where responsibilities included troubleshooting and improving turbomachinery design. Dung's early research experience includes work at the Robotic Research Center, SIMTech, and an internship at Motorola Mobility.
