Matt Beckman is a highly experienced race engineering professional with a robust background in motorsports, currently serving as the Race Engineering Group Manager at Joe Gibbs Racing since January 2007. With extensive experience in managing engineering teams, analyzing vehicle dynamics, and optimizing race performance, Matt has held various key roles including Crew Chief for the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Race Engineer for NASCAR Cup Series drivers. Prior positions include race engineering roles at PKV Racing, Dale Earnhardt, Inc., and Newman/Haas Racing, as well as structural engineering roles earlier in their career. Matt holds a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
