Mafalda Bernardo has a diverse work experience in the graphic design field. Mafalda started their career as a Designer/Social Media Coordinator at Cubana Waterloo Ltd in 2016. In 2017, they worked as a Digital Artworker for Burberry at RAPP, where they were responsible for delivering print and OOH materials and creating training guidance for the print team. Mafalda then joined JOE & THE JUICE in 2018 as a Senior Graphic Designer and later became a Freelance Graphic Designer. In 2020, they returned to JOE & THE JUICE as the Head of Creative.

Mafalda Bernardo obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic and Media Design from the University of the Arts London from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Product Design Professional Diploma in Industrial and Product Design at António Arroio from 2010 to 2013. Mafalda also holds additional certifications, including "Project Planning: Putting It All Together," "Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project," "Foundations of Project Management" from Google, obtained in June 2023, February 2023, and January 2023 respectively. Mafalda also completed the "Fundamental Course in UI Animation with After Effects" and "Fundamentals Course on After Effects" at Motion Design School in September 2020.
