Steven Nelson

Steven Nelson is a highly experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in software development and infrastructure management. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering at John Deere since July 2020, Nelson previously held key positions including Consultant at Source Allies Inc., and VP of Cloud Architecture at ChiroTouch, where responsibilities encompassed mentoring development teams and managing AWS cloud infrastructure. Prior positions also include VP of Technology and Chief Software Architect at Future Health Software, where Nelson oversaw development operations, budget management, and architectural improvements for cloud-based applications. Early career experiences as Software Developer at GeoLearning and Java Developer at ABC Virtual further contributed to a strong foundation in software engineering and project management. Nelson completed a Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University between 1994 and 1999.
