Jonathan B. Perlin

Jonathan Perlin is a seasoned healthcare executive currently serving as President and CEO of The Joint Commission since March 2022. Previously, Jonathan held notable positions at HCA from 2006 to May 2022, including President of Clinical Operations and Chief Medical Officer, as well as Chief Medical Officer and President of Clinical Services. Additionally, Jonathan served in the Veterans Health Administration as Under Secretary for Health from March 2004 to August 2006 and as Deputy Under Secretary of Health from 2002 to 2004. Jonathan's educational background includes an MD and PhD in Medicine and Pharmacology from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, earned between 1985 and 1992.
