Saniya Deshmukh

Saniya Deshmukh is a seasoned scientist with a strong background in science writing and research, currently serving as a Senior Science Writer at JoVE since April 2021. Prior to this role, Saniya worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where responsibilities included designing workflows for clinical study analysis and creating visual representations of results. Saniya's earlier experience at the University of Pune as a Project Assistant involved optimizing laboratory protocols and collaborating with multiple research teams on molecular characterization projects. Academic credentials include a PhD in Epigenetics, an MS in Zoology/Animal Biology, and a BS in Life Science & Biochemistry, all obtained from reputable institutions in India.
