Group CEO at JSE

Leila Fourie is currently the Group CEO at JSE. Fourie has an extensive and accomplished work history, having held various leadership positions at several different companies.

Most recently, Fourie served as the Co-opted Member Board Audit & Risk Committee at Lifeline Australia from July 2018 to September 2019. Prior to that, they were the Vice President at ESA Economic Society Australia NSW Council from August 2017 to August 2019, and a Committee Member at Women in Economics Network from April 2017 to August 2019.

Before taking on their role at JSE, Fourie was the Chief Executive Officer at Australian Payments Network (AusPayNet) from September 2016 to March 2019. Fourie was also previously employed by JSE, where they served as the Executive Director: Post-Trade and Information from March 2012 to July 2016. Prior to that, they were the MD Card division at Standard Bank Group from October 2006 to November 2011.

Fourie's career began at Accenture / Andersen Consulting, where they held the title of Senior Manager from October 1999 to September 2005.

Leila Fourie has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economic and Financial Science from the University of Johannesburg, and is a Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
