Don Byington has a wide range of work experience spanning from 1997 to 2017. Don began their career at Synopsys as a Senior Unix Administrator where they created a server farm monitoring solution and developed a Storage Resource Management system. In 2009, they joined Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Solutions Architect, conducting evaluations of storage hardware and software solutions. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Caringo, Inc., providing remote support for an HTTP based object storage cluster. Don then moved to Spectra Logic in 2016 as a Product Support Engineer, providing tier 3 support and troubleshooting for customers domestically and internationally. Currently, they are working at JumpCloud as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, overseeing the development of product features and systems for Apple devices.

Don Byington has a diverse education history. In 1990, they began their studies at Portland Community College, where they pursued multiple fields of study including computer science, political science, philosophy, and theater arts. Don attended this institution until 1992. In 1992, they transferred to Oregon State University and continued their studies in computer science and theater arts until 1993.

After a long hiatus from formal education, Don returned to further their education in recent years. In 2014, they attended the National Personal Training Institute of Colorado and obtained a degree in Personal Fitness Trainer in 2015. In the same year, they also earned various certifications including Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Qualified - Suspension Training, CPR AED with hands-on, and First Aid from reputable institutions such as the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association.

In 2016, Don pursued a different field by attending Full Circle Yoga, where they completed the Yoga Teacher Training/Yoga Therapy program and became a Certified Yoga Teacher. Additionally, they obtained a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp, focusing on computer software engineering.

Continuing their passion for learning and expanding their skillset, in 2017, Don attended Codeworks for a brief period to study software engineering. Later on, in February 2021, they obtained the JumpCloud Core Certification from JumpCloud.
