Jim Stifler is an experienced professional with a robust background in economic development and financial services. Currently serving as a Burton D. Morgan Mentor at JumpStart Inc. since 2016, Jim counsels innovative start-ups and scale-ups. Previously, from June 2016 to December 2022, Jim held the position of Chief Economic Officer for the City of Hudson, Ohio, where responsibilities included attracting and retaining businesses and overseeing significant redevelopment projects. Jim's financial expertise was further established during tenure as Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management from 1993 to 2014, and as Vice President at Fidelity Investments from 1986 to 1993, where contributions included pioneering corporate retirement solutions. Additionally, Jim served as Vice President at Nuveen Investments from 1982 to 1987, specializing in tax-free income solutions. Jim holds a degree from The Ohio State University.
