Jonathan Alcantara

Jonathan Alcantara is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and system architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Jusbrasil since July 2024, Jonathan previously held the same title at Gympass where responsibilities included developing digital products for mental health. Jonathan's experience at VTEX involved backend work on the Checkout system and leading the development of a Sellers Selection Algorithm. Early career roles included an internship at Globo.com focusing on network applications and contributions as a teaching assistant in Distributed Systems. Jonathan holds a Master's degree in Systems Engineering and Computer Science as well as a B.E. in Computer and Information Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Additional qualifications include a Nanodegree in Machine Learning Engineering from Udacity and ongoing studies in Control and Automation Engineering.
