Shannon Ahern, LICSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience in mental health and crisis intervention. Currently, Shannon serves as a Clinician for the Boston Trauma Response Team at the Justice Resource Institute since October 2016. Previous roles include Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Rhode Island Hospital from November 2013 to October 2016 and Clinical Manager at Family Service of Rhode Island from November 2012 to October 2013, where Shannon provided counseling to adolescent females in a group home setting. Additional experience includes serving as a Crisis Evaluator for the Metropolitan Crisis Response Team and Jefferson Parish Mobile Crisis, delivering crisis interventions to various age groups facing mental health and substance abuse challenges. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Social Work focused on Disaster Mental Health from Tulane University and a Bachelor's in Human Development with a focus on Juvenile Justice from Wheelock College.
