Alex Pines is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in both the academic and creative industries. Currently, Alex serves as Co-Founder and VP of Product Experience & Design at Vanilla, focusing on the development of innovative estate planning, financial, and legal technology tools. Previous roles include Visiting Faculty Member at the California Institute of the Arts and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Otis College of Art and Design, where contributions extended to various faculty committees. As a partner at studiorubric, a digital design studio, Alex collaborated with notable clients such as New York Magazine and the New York Knicks. With a solid educational background, including a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the California Institute of the Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Alex brings a diverse skill set to both instructional and design-focused endeavors.
