Malcolm Sparks is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software development and consulting. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Founder of JUXT since February 2013, Malcolm previously held the position of Vice President at Deutsche Bank, where responsibilities included managing the development of the primary risk and PNL-distribution system. Prior roles include Senior Mentor at Exoftware, providing consultancy across multiple industries, and Independent Consultant at Congreve Computing, where hands-on coaching and training in Java and Agile practices were delivered globally. Malcolm's earlier ventures include founding jcoverage, which evolved into Cobertura, a widely used test coverage tool, alongside various roles at organizations such as the BBC and Telenor. Malcolm holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick.

JUXT bootstrapped a public electric bikes scheme, and also deployed a PCI DSS compliant portal to handle sensitivepersonal data.The mission of JUXT is to deliver to its clients the benefits of using a modern and simple technology stack, and to give back to the software development community. This is done by building and sponsoring open source libraries and getting involved in various software conferences, including our running our own.Crux was released by JUXT in 2019.
