Derek Newton is the founder of Inspired Van, a sprinter van conversion upfitter based in Teton Valley specializing in modular gear and people hauling solutions. Derek has held various sales and territory management positions in the outdoor industry, including roles at Rocky Mountain Bicycles, Kaenon Polarized Eyewear, POC, Highway 2, SRAM Corporation, Felt Bicycles, GU Energy Labs / Sport Street Marketing, and Pearl Izumi. Derek has extensive experience in sales and is knowledgeable in the outdoor sports market.
Derek Newton started their education in 1989 at the University of Vermont, where they studied Ski Area Management and Small Business. Derek attended this institution until 1991, although they did not earn a degree. In the same year, they also attended Stratton Mtn School for a brief period, but the specific field of study is unknown.
