Hwansung Kang

Hwansung Kang is a Systems Integration Engineer at Kairos Power since September 2023. Prior to this role, Hwansung worked at Oceaneering as a Critical Systems Engineer, focusing on systems for the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory to aid astronaut EVA training. Earlier experience includes positions at TechnipFMC as a Senior Controls and Automation Engineer and Subsea Intervention Equipment Engineer, where compliance with industry standards was a priority. Hwansung started a career at FMC Technologies, first as a Subsea Rotation Engineer and subsequently as a Reliability Engineering Intern, contributing to engineering tasks and reliability analyses. Initial work experience included roles at ZF Group and Halliburton in technical purchasing and operations engineering, respectively. Hwansung holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio, obtained in 2011.
