James Kendrick

James Kendrick is a seasoned quality assurance professional with extensive experience in the nuclear engineering field. Currently serving as Manager of Quality Assurance at Kairos Power since September 2019, James leads a team responsible for quality assessments of safety-related hardware for the Hermes Demonstration Reactor. Prior roles at Kairos Power include Lead Quality Engineer and Senior Quality Engineer, where James developed and implemented quality strategies in collaboration with technology development teams. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where James also contributed as a Graduate Student Researcher focusing on quality assurance compliance within university-led nuclear research projects. Additional experience includes an internship at Kairos Power and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
