Brent Downey has an extensive work experience in the field of environmental engineering. Brent began their career at Barrick Gold Corporation in 2003, starting as an Environmental Engineer and eventually moving up to the roles of Senior Environmental Engineer, Environmental Superintendent, and CHESS Superintendent. In 2014, they joined Kaiser Aluminum as a Senior Environmental Engineer and subsequently took on roles as Manager of Environmental Affairs and Director of Corporate Environmental Engineering.

Brent Downey attended Montana Technological University from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Engineering.
