Ed Kao

Ed Kao, M.D. serves as Physician-in-Chief and is a member of the Board of Directors at The Permanente Medical Group, Inc., contributing to performance improvement and care experience as Assistant Physician-in-Chief at South San Francisco Medical Center. Previously, Ed Kao held the positions of Chief of Radiology and Chief of Performance Improvement at Stanford University School of Medicine. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, Davis, along with completion of the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
