Karl Vanderbeek has extensive work experience in various design roles. Karl currently holds the position of VP of Design and Human Factors at Kaleidoscope Innovation and Product Design, where they lead multiple teams and collaborates on corporate and project strategies. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Design and Associate Creative Director of Industrial Design at the same company. Before joining Kaleidoscope, Karl worked as a Senior Industrial Designer at Stanley Black & Decker, where they were the sole Industrial Design lead for a business unit. Karl also worked as a Senior Designer at Evo Design, leading new product development projects in various industries. Additionally, Karl has worked at Sweet Spot Studio, owned by their brother, specializing in the toy and giftware industries. Karl has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati, teaching Design Visualization courses. Karl began their career as a Designer at Sinot Branding & Design, a Dutch product design studio.
Karl Vanderbeek attended the University of Cincinnati from 1992 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design.
