Brianna Wilkins has a varied work experience. Brianna began their career in 2015 as a Volunteer in the Neurology and Neurosurgery Department at UPMC Presbyterian. Brianna then became an Undergraduate Researcher at the Musculoskeletal Growth and Regeneration Laboratory, where they worked with the research team to characterize pathogenesis of Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy and wrote protocols. Brianna also collected, fixed, and inventoried tissue/organs for experimentation, ran qPCR, monitored cell culture plates, and operated a microtome to section tissue. In the same year, they became a Tutor for the University of Pittsburgh Athletics Department and a Project Intern for Nourish International at the Maya Traditions Foundation. In 2017, they became a Certified Nursing Assistant at UPMC. In 2018, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at Western Oncolytics Ltd. and a Biomedical Scientist at KaliVir Immunotherapeutics. In 2022, they will begin a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Chatham University.

Brianna Wilkins completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science with a Chemistry Minor and certificates in GIS and Conceptual Foundations of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017. Brianna is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from Chatham University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
