Sahar Izadi

Sahar Izadi is a distinguished marine scientist with extensive experience in both research and leadership. Currently, Sahar serves as a Fellow at the Edmund Hillary Fellowship since 2019 and as Chief Operating Officer at Kara Technologies Ltd since June 2017. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at The University of Auckland from 2015 to 2018, as well as research and clerical work at the University of St Andrews from 2012 to 2014. Sahar's background also includes an internship at SMRU Marine, a position as a Science Journalist for Danestaniha magazine, and independent research on intertidal invertebrates at the Persian Gulf Biotechnology Research Center. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Marine Sciences from The University of Auckland, an MRes in Marine Mammal Science from the University of St Andrews, and two degrees from Shahid Beheshti University in Marine Zoology and Marine Biology.
