Prior to these roles, they worked as a freelance GRC Consultant and Lecturer from August 2022 to January 2023. Gernot also took a sabbatical for personal development from February 2022 to July 2022. Gernot served as the Head of Compliance & Governance at RUAG Corporate Services AG from January 2017 to January 2022, and as the Chief Compliance Officer at Hilti Group from June 2011 to December 2016. Before that, they worked as the Head of Competition Law at E.ON AG from January 2003 to May 2011. Gernot started their career as a Referendar at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from October 2000 to September 2002.
Gernot Dresch has a strong educational background in law and economics. From 1993 to 1999, they attended the Universities of Rostock and Cologne and earned a degree in Volljurist, with a focus on Rechtswissenschaften, Law. In 1995, they also spent a year at the University of Lyon as part of the Erasmus program, during which they obtained a DEUF degree. Later, in 1999, Gernot pursued further studies in law and economics at the Universities of Hamburg, Gent, and Rotterdam, where they completed the EMLE (Masters of Law) program.

Kardex AG is a Switzerland-based holding company engaged in the provision of static and automated storage solutions and materials handling systems. The Company operates two corporate divisions: Kardex Remstar and Kardex Mlog. The Kardex Remstar division is active in the development, production and maintenance of dynamic storage and retrieval systems. The Kardex Mlog division develops and manufactures integrated materials handling systems and automated high-bay warehouses. The Company provides support to its customers over the entire lifecycle of a product or solution, including an assessment of customer requirements; planning, realization and implementation of customer-specific systems, and ensuring a high level of availability and low lifecycle costs by means of customer-oriented lifecycle management. In July 2013, it divested its Kardex Stow Division, which provided static storage systems, shuttles and automated mobile shelving systems.
