Doug Wieder

Doug Wieder currently serves as the President & General Manager at KARE 11, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Doug was the President & General Manager at 13News Now (WVEC) from 2003 until November 2023, where additional responsibilities included serving as Executive News Director and Executive Producer. Doug's experience in the media industry also includes working as a Nightside Producer at ABC 8NEWS WRIC - Nexstar Media Group from July 2000 to October 2003, and as a Reporter at WDEF-TV from May 1998 to May 2000. Doug began the career as a Reporter/Anchor at WGXA from June 1995 to June 1998. Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from The University of Georgia, completed in 1995.
