Sigma Mostafa

Sigma Mostafa is the Chief Scientific Officer at KBI Biopharma, a position held since April 2010, where oversight includes Analytical Services, Process Development, and Cell Line Development, alongside building out Research and Development and Technology Development functions to support the JSR Life Science ecosystem. Previously, Sigma served as Senior Vice President and Site Head at KBI's North Carolina site, which is the largest within the KBI network, and held various roles at Merck, including Vice President of Upstream and Downstream Process Development and Principal Scientist, managing mammalian and insect cell culture projects. At Eli Lilly, Sigma led the development of processes for recombinant proteins. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical & Biological Engineering from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
