Jessica Shafer

Jessica Shafer is an experienced epidemiologist currently serving as the IMPALA Team Lead at KBR, Inc. since May 2023. Prior to this role, Jessica worked at Aegis Aerospace Inc. for over a decade as a Data Specialist and also as an Epidemiologist involved in the Lifetime Surveillance of Astronaut Health program at NASA. Earlier experience includes leading invasive bacterial disease surveillance at the Georgia Department of Community Health and working as an Infection Control Associate at Grady Health System. Academically, Jessica holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology and Spanish, both from Emory University.
