Katie Gilchrest

Katie Gilchrest is a versatile music professional with extensive experience in music production and education. Currently serving as a Production Engineer at KCRW since September 2021, Katie also operates as a self-employed guitar and piano teacher, providing lessons through various institutions in North Hollywood. As the owner and mastering engineer at Mythology Mastering since January 2017, Katie offers affordable music mastering services across genres. Additionally, involvement as a guitarist and vocalist in the heavy psych and doom trio High Priestess highlights her performance skills. Previous roles include audio technician for Conference Rental and detail specialist at American Music & Sound, among other positions in sound editing and marketing. Katie holds a Master's Degree in Music Technology from New York University and Bachelor's Degrees in Music and Human Ecology from the University of Southern Maine and College of the Atlantic, respectively.
