Position: Direct to Consumer Digital eCommerce Intern
Location: KEEN’s Global Headquarters in Portland, Oregon (on-site)
Duration: 10 weeks

Compensation: $20/hour
Program Duration: Monday, June 16th – Friday, August 22nd

What You'll Do:

As an Intern at KEEN (KEENtern), you’ll dive into the exciting world of footwear, innovation, and community! You’ll get hands-on experience working alongside industry experts and contribute to shaping the future of KEEN.

General Summary

KEEN’s Digital and Direct to Consumer division is a values-led, dynamic, forward-thinking e-commerce team specializing in delivering exceptional direct-to-consumer experiences. We are committed to enhancing customer connections through innovative solutions, data-driven insights, and sustainable re-commerce initiatives. Our mission is to redefine the way fans and customers engage with our products while promoting a circular economy.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented E-Commerce Intern to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about analyzing data, creating memorable fan experiences, and contributing to re-commerce strategies. You will work closely with our e-commerce, marketing, and operations teams to drive insights and initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and foster sustainable growth.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Data Insights & Analytics

  • Analyze consumer (fan) behavior and purchase trends to identify actionable insights.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across digital platforms and create regular reports.
    • Collaborate with the team to test and optimize campaigns using data-driven strategies

2. Fan Experience

  • Assist in designing personalized experiences for our customer base.
    • Monitor customer feedback and suggest improvements for better engagement.
    • Support loyalty and retention initiatives by contributing to creative campaign ideas

3. Re-Commerce Initiatives (ReKEEN Program)

  • Research and contribute to strategies that promote sustainable re-commerce practices.
    • Assist in coordinating resale or trade-in programs for used products.
    • Evaluate market trends to identify new opportunities for re-commerce growth

4. Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align e-commerce strategies with business goals.
    • Assist with day-to-day operations, including content updates, campaign execution, and customer communications.
    • Stay up-to-date with e-commerce and re-commerce industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Must be enrolled an accredited college or university at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.
  • Must be able to dedicate 40 hours/week toward the internship during normal M-F PST working hours
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.
  • Passion for sustainability, customer experience, and innovative business models like re-commerce.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) is a plus, not required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to learn new software programs.
  • Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and on tight deadlines.
  • Able to sit and/or stand at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Program Requirements:

To qualify for this internship, you must:

  • Be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Commit to a 10-week program from mid-June through mid-August
  • Dedicate 40 hours per week during standard M-F, PST working hours
  • All roles are located in Portland, OR. Must be able to move to Portland during the duration of the internship if you are not already living here.
  • Plan no more than four total days of vacation during the internship
