Bill Diong

Bill Diong is a distinguished academic and researcher in electrical engineering, currently serving as Professor Emeritus and Interim Associate Dean of Research at Kennesaw State University since August 2011. Diong's responsibilities in the role of Interim Associate Dean include enhancing interdisciplinary research and securing external funding to support scholarly activities within the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology. Diong has extensive experience in teaching and researching power and energy systems, specializing in areas such as electric vehicles and renewable energy systems. Prior positions include Associate Vice President for Research at Kennesaw State University and faculty roles at Southern Polytechnic State University, Texas Christian University, The University of Texas at El Paso, and The University of Texas-Pan American. Diong's industry experience includes work as a Senior Research Engineer at Sundstrand Aerospace. Diong holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
