Kentucky Colonel™
Col. David Wright was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Paul Patton in 1996 for his role in leading an Arbor Day initiative from the Commonwealth of Kentucky in North Carolina following Hurricane Fran. An article written by the Lexington Herald Leader got the attention of Col. Judge Ray Corns and Governor Patton. In 1998, Col. Wright launched the first website for Kentucky Colonels after approaching the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels for a sponsorship which was flatly rejected by Col. Glen Bastin due to lack of interest in the Internet. Fast forward 22 years, the HOKC sues Col. David Wright in US District Court losing their case against him for trademark infringement which was dismissed with prejudice establishing a new precedent for Kentucky colonels and their legal rights to the title.

A unique cooperative company that is being developed as a "decentralized autonomous organization" connected virtually online as a cooperative body with 'Real Kentucky Colonels' that have received or been nominated for the distinguished "Kentucky Colonel™ Silver Star" from the historic "Transylvania Company" from 1775 in recognition of Colonel Daniel Boone and Colonel Judge Richard Henderson establishing the First Civil Laws for the Colony of Transylvania with the Kentucke Magna Charta. The Kentucky Colonel™ Collective Mark represents the dominant and eminent source and origin of the Kentucky Colonel™ identified from the year 1775 with Colonel Daniel Boone and his Lieutenant Colonel John Bowman who was commissioned by Governor Patrick Henry of Virginia in 1776 as Colonel of Kentucky County. From 1776 until 1792 the Colonels were the Kings of Kentucky, until they formed the government as the legislators. In 2025 we are celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the Kentucky Colonel™ and the Transylvania Company as the source for the history and the legacies of the Kentucky colonels that have come to be commissioned by the governors of Kentucky in the common-law custom since the honorable tradition of title recognition began in "Old Kentucky".. Our "Colonel Company" is a "Cooperative" that is a "Collective Collaboration" which is guided by a "Committee" of "Colonels" that is "Controlled" by its "Council" of "Cooperators" to make our "Common Law Court" which is "Critical" to the "Conscription of Kentucky Colonelcy". The objective of the "Company" is to succeed in defending, demonstrating, presenting, promoting and protecting the "Honorable Title: Kentucky Colonel" as a "legal civilian office and professional occupation". Our founders have identified that most persons that become Kentucky colonels, never learn the reality of the Kentucky Colonel or its origin. Most just receive the award and latch on to the idea that colonels were made to drink mint juleps, donate to charities and volunteer at the library; even more never learn anything about it at all. As colonels with "Letters Patent" that have been guaranteed by the Governor of Kentucky the entitlement of liberal authority to discern our "rights, privileges and responsibilities" our cooperative body is not required by any government to register as a cooperative because we are not engaged with the public as a group, but by each Kentucky Colonel™ as an individual representative of it.
