Emma Welsh

Emma joined Keoghs in 2016 having moved from a defendant casualty fraud background and became Director of Casualty Fraud in 2018.

Emma manages a varied caseload of employer and public liability claims both in the Fast Track and Multi Track with damages ranging up to £250,000. Emma has experience of casualty fraud rings having developed and administered case plans and strategies alongside insurers and intelligence teams. She has experience of Section.57 and strike out applications on the grounds of gross exaggeration in addition to running fraud cases to trial.

As Director of Casualty Fraud, Emma regularly keeps herself and the team up to date with leading judgments and statutory instruments. She frequently presents and reports to clients on recent developments both for casualty and casualty fraud, sharing knowledge across the industry to include trends and behaviours in the market place and helps clients build and implement strategies to identify and repudiate fraud.
