Tama Ma has a strong background in software engineering and data engineering. They began their career at Harmonic in 2015 as a Senior Software Development Engineer, specializing in C++. After leaving Harmonic in 2018, Tama joined CLSA as an Innovation Engineer in Trading Operations. In 2019, Tama transitioned to IBM as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the IBM Cloud Platform until 2022. Tama then moved to Anaeko, where they first held the role of Senior Software Engineer before being promoted to Technical Lead in Data Engineering. Currently, Tama is the Data Engineering Lead (Trading Operations) at Kepler Cheuvreux, starting in 2022.
Tama Ma earned a Ph.D in Theoretical Physics from ETH Zürich from 2009 to 2013. After that, from 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Theoretical Physics at the National University of Singapore. Prior to that, Tama completed their M.Phil / B.Sc (Hon) in Theoretical Physics at The University of Hong Kong from 2004 to 2009. Earlier on, they pursued their Pre-University studies at Victoria Junior College in Singapore from 2000 to 2001.
