Sammy Smith, MPA PMP CISSP has over 30 years of work experience in various leadership and technical roles. Sammy is currently the Executive Vice President at Kerberos International, where they oversee electronic warfare capabilities and security services. Prior to this, they held positions at Chenega Logistics, including Director of Special Programs and Director of Business Development. Sammy also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Chenega Logistics and International Media Ventures (IMV). Earlier in their career, Smith worked as the Chief Systems Engineer at Chenega Federal Systems and served in the US Army in roles related to infantry, electronic warfare, counterintelligence, and military intelligence. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, project management, cybersecurity, and intelligence operations.
Sammy Smith, MPA PMP CISSP, has a diverse education history. Starting from 1989 to 1991, Sammy attended The University of Texas at Austin and Texas State University, obtaining a Distinguished Military Graduate designation from the Army ROTC program and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Public Administration and a minor in Urban Planning.
Prior to this, Sammy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from The University of Texas at El Paso.
Furthermore, Sammy has obtained several certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2012 and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from the ISC2 Baltimore Chapter in 2008.
In addition to these educational achievements, Sammy has acquired various certifications related to security, management, and other technical skills from institutions such as the State of Oregon, Texas Department of Public Safety, UC San Diego, Inmarsat, Federal Communications Commission, Certified Ethical Hacker, and Cisco.
