Sigurdur Hannesson

Sigurdur Hannesson currently serves as the Director of Product Development at Kerecis since February 2024. Previously, Sigurdur held multiple roles at Össur from May 2008 to February 2024, including Lead Product Engineer and Product Designer. Sigurdur's experience also includes working as a Verification Team Lead and contributor to product development for Elekta's MRI-guided radiation therapy systems from March 2016 to July 2018, following a consultancy position at Hotswap as a Mechanical Design Engineer between February 2016 and June 2018. Additional roles include a research position at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2015. Sigurdur holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from both KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Háskóli Íslands, along with Bachelor's Degrees in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and Háskóli Íslands.
